Located across from The Fair Grounds in the heart of Tunbridge, The General Store has been a community fixture since 1830, first operating as A.N. King and Son. The store has evolved through several iterations and changes in ownership over nearly two centuries, but the focus has remained: providing quality to the town of Tunbridge and it’s visitors.

In addition to a stock of staples, the store is committed to providing locally sourced goods and delicious food to the town of Tunbridge and visitors to our beautiful community, guided by our core values: hard work, great service, and Tunbridge civic pride.

Reopened in 2022 under new management, The Tunbridge General Store is owned and operated by John and Erica Houston alongside a dedicated staff.
